Jakob Crowe's last performance at Savannah Swings Jazz Festival; and now, at UC Berkeley

Here's a taste of Jakob's last solo at the Savannah Swings Jazz Festival and Competition for high school students across the US. This was in Spring of 2016.

Jakob is now in his second year of studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where is double majoring in Physics (honors division) and Astrophysics.

Jakob took a brief time off from playing in the band to focus on his studies, however, he will be returning to his love of Jazz and playing with the U.C. Berkeley Jazz band this fall.

Jakob at the 2015 Savannah Swings Festival

Jakob is a senior in high school. This will be his last year with the Agoura High School Jazz band and thankfully, Jakob will be returning with his band to the Savannah Swings Festival one last time in Spring of 2016.

Here are some pictures and videos from Jakob at Savannah from March of this year, 2015

Jakob and his band mates getting instructions and help from the amazing musicians at the Savannah Swings Jazz Festival. The clincs are the best part of the trip for him.

Jakob in front of Wilkes House, pre-feast. Another favorite part of the trip for him.

The musicians perform before leading the clinics to help the kids. They're amazing.

Here's a few videos from 2014. Jakob practicing some small solos for honor band, as well as a couple of outdoor numbers with his high school band at the Savannah waterfront in Georgia, during the Savannah Swings Jazz Central Festival and Competition and a couple of performances in the school's Performing Arts Center. We were unable to upload many of the videos from the competition or in general because they were too big in size for Blogger. These are from January through March of 2014. Stay tuned for more recent performances and solos from the 2014-2015 school year.

What a great experience! Lots of fun. Can't wait until next year.

Jakob Crowe, the Scholar

Jakob scores a 210 on the PSATs, making him in the top 2% of PSAT takers in the nation for 2014. Wohoo. Way to go, Jakob Crowe!

Jakob scores a PERFECT SCORE on the California Common Core Science Assessment test (THE CAASPP).

That and getting straight A's in school this year make him an all around scholar All of which help him toward his goal of becoming a doctor, or a scientist or a some science guy that comes up with a cure for cancer or answers to autism or something cool and significant that will change the world.
